As the Campus Technologist I am always on the go. If you need to speak with me, you can send me an email by filling out the form below or call 915-434-3717.
I began working in Ysleta as a substitute teacher. A year later I became a paraprofesional in a Kinder - 3rd grade behavioral unit where I worked for 10 years at Vista Hills Elementary. I attended the University of Texas at El Paso while working and in 1998 graduated with a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Special Education. I became the 4th-6th grade behavioral (BIC) teacher here at Mission Valley. In 2004 I left Special Education and became a 5th grade regular education teacher and then looped with my students to 6th. I received my Master's Degree in Computer Instructional Technology and in 2007 and became the Computer Technology Coordinator. I was honored to be voted Teacher of the Year for 2004-2005 and Technology Teacher of the Year for 2005-2006. I have taken a group of 6th graders to attend the Texas Capitol School House in Austin Texas and have been a Destination Imagination Team Manager for the past 9 years. During this time Mission Valley has had numerous teams win State Titles and have had 3 Teams participate in Global Competition in Knoxville, TN. I truly love what I do and am driven to make sure our students leave Mission Valley able to use technology to continue their education and become viable participants in their community.
